As some of our members are aware the Squad XML, which enables a number of minor in-game features such as the logo armpatch, stopped functioning just before Christmas. After considerable testing we discovered that Arma has a limit on the size of the file, and it gets ignored once it is larger than 8KB. In order to work around this limitation, we have split the Squad XML into chunks based on the first character of a member's username. Read on for instructions.

To reactivate your Squad XML you will need to edit the Squad URL value found under your Profile options. Simply edit the Squad URL to be http://blackwatch-int.com/squad.xml?c=N, replacing N with the first character of your username. For example, the Squad URL for [PVT.] Tester would be http://blackwatch-int.com/squad.xml?c=T.

If you have never user the Squad XML before, please refer to the instructions on the Field Manual for full details, as extra steps may be required.
